Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon
About The Position
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for a Locum Tenens position in Tacoma, WA. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, with clinical duties and on-call responsibilities. The position is for coverage starting ASAP and ongoing, with a call schedule of 7a-7a, including 1-2 weekends per month. The call type is beeper with a 1:6 ratio and a 30-minute response time. This is a supplemental coverage need at a Level II trauma center, which is described as very busy. The physician will be responsible for rounding on assigned patients. Support staff includes 1 MA and 1 APP. The facility uses the Epic EMR system. Hospital privileges are required, and temporary privileges are not available.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery
- Valid WA state license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Hospital privileges required
Responsibilities
- Provide orthopedic trauma surgery services
- Perform inpatient and outpatient duties
- Provide on-call coverage
- Round on assigned patients
