Orthopedic Surgeon - Trauma
About The Position
SAMGI is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our team at St. Luke's Magic Valley Hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho. This position provides dedicated orthopedic trauma coverage at a Level III Trauma Center and offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced surgeons, Advanced Practice Providers, and hospital leadership in a well-established trauma program. This is a full-time employed position focused 100% on Orthopedic Trauma Surgery with a flexible schedule of approximately 10 shifts per month. The role includes dedicated APP support, an established referral network, and no billing or coding responsibilities.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Current or recent Orthopedic Trauma experience required
- Eligible for Idaho medical licensure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide orthopedic trauma call coverage
- Evaluate and manage orthopedic trauma patients in the emergency department and inpatient setting
- Perform operative management of traumatic orthopedic injuries
- Collaborate with trauma surgeons, APPs, hospital staff, and consulting services
- Participate in quality improvement and trauma program initiatives
- Maintain timely documentation and communication with care teams
