About The Position

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon to join the expanding Cooper Bone & Joint Institute at Cape Regional. This is an exceptional opportunity to establish and grow a regional orthopaedic trauma practice while working within one of the region's leading academic health systems. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive operative and non-operative management of acute musculoskeletal injuries, fracture care, and orthopaedic trauma patients across the Cape Regional service area. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with orthopaedic subspecialists, advanced practice providers, emergency medicine physicians, and rehabilitation teams in a growing community-based setting supported by Cooper's nationally recognized orthopaedic program. This position offers a unique opportunity to help establish and grow orthopaedic trauma services within a rapidly expanding regional orthopaedic practice. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Jersey
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive orthopaedic trauma and fracture care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Perform operative management of acute fractures and complex musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Participate in orthopaedic trauma call coverage.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, coordinated patient care.
  • Support growth and development of orthopaedic trauma services throughout the Cape Regional market.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
  • Maintain a patient-centered approach focused on exceptional clinical outcomes and patient experience.
