About The Position

We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for a permanent position in Brattleboro, VT. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, covering a vacancy. The position requires clinical duties plus call responsibilities. The work schedule and call schedule are to be determined, with the OR schedule being days. The surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing and evaluating orthopedic conditions, developing treatment plans, providing pre- and post-operative care, and staying updated on the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery. The facility uses Cerner EMR. Candidates must reside within a 1-hour commute and not plan to work another position concurrently.

Requirements

• Proficiency in orthopedic surgical techniques & procedures, including familiarity w/ the latest advancements.
• Joint replacements, Fracture repairs
• Arthroscopy & other orthopedic interventions
• Active VT License
• BC/BE in Orthopaedic Surgery (If BE: kindly state date of graduation)
• Active DEA
• Clean record
• CPR (must be obtained prior to start)
• NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose & evaluate orthopedic conditions through physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic imaging such as X-rays, MRI, and CT scans
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care
• Dedication to ongoing professional development & staying updated w/ emerging trends & research in orthopedic surgery.
