Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group (PAFMG) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible comprehensive-trained ophthalmologist for a medical or medical/surgical-based position serving patients at state-of-the-art medical centers in Palo Alto and San Carlos. Both locations have full ancillary services and onsite ambulatory surgery centers. The physician will join a busy comprehensive clinic alongside specialty ophthalmologists in cornea/external disease, pediatrics, plastics, uveitis, retina, neuro-ophthalmology, and glaucoma. The physician will take over an existing part-time practice, with room to grow through a strong internal patient-referral network. The position is 0.75 FTE, averaging 26.5 patient-contact hours per week, with the potential to increase to 1.00 FTE in the future. Call is shared with all department physicians and primarily covers established patients and onsite urgent care centers. PAFMG is a physician-led medical group affiliated with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation of Sutter Health. It offers operational and administrative support, including the latest technology, so physicians can focus on patient care. The organization comprises more than 2,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians across 40-plus specialties throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
