About The Position

West Virginia University Medicine is seeking a full-time Nocturnist based at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. The role involves providing comprehensive inpatient clinical care to patients with diseases and injuries of the human internal organ system and establishing preventive health practices for patients. WVU Medicine is West Virginia University’s affiliated health system, West Virginia’s largest private employer, and a national leader in patient safety and quality. Wheeling Hospital provides premium health care to residents of Wheeling, WV, Northern Panhandle of WV, and Eastern Ohio, offering a wide range of services including a Surgical Center, Center for Pediatrics, Center for Women’s Services, Emergency/Level 2 Trauma Center, a comprehensive cancer center, full-service cardiac catheterization lab, Stroke Care, and is certified as a STEMI and Chest Pain Center. Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree or foreign equivalent
  • Completed residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • West Virginia Medical License eligible
  • Board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment
