Physician Medical Oncologist / Hematologist - Battle Creek, Michigan
About The Position
Bronson Healthcare is seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join its growing cancer program in Battle Creek, Michigan. This position will practice in Battle Creek, MI at the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center. The candidate will join a practice consisting of 3 other Medical Oncologists/Hematologists, 2 Radiation Oncologists, 1 advanced practice provider, and multiple other clinical staff providing nurse navigation, survivorship, social work, nutritional support, and palliative care. This is a hospital-employed, mainly outpatient position with some inpatient consults. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with call shared equally among the physicians on the team.
Requirements
- BC/BE Fellowship Trained in Hematology/Oncology
- Current unrestricted or pending Licensure in the state of Michigan
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient-centered care
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing illnesses and prescribing and administering treatment for patients suffering from disease or illness.
- Examining patients and obtaining medical histories.
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Counseling patients regarding preventive healthcare, hygiene, and diet.
- Demonstrating competencies specific to the population served for employees providing direct patient care.
