About The Position

Community Health Network and GoHealth Urgent Care have partnered to provide urgent care across Central Indiana. The Physician provides clinical services to patients of all ages, assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute conditions and minor injuries. The physician works independently while collaborating with advanced practice providers and escalating care when necessary. The role also includes remotely supervising GoHealth PAs and NPs and serving as a Collaborating Physician during credentialing. Scheduled shifts are 12 hours. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited medical school.
Two to five years of post-residency clinical experience.
At least 18 months in an applicable practice setting.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine through ABMS or AOA.
Active state medical license.
Experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
Proficiency in office procedures such as suturing and splinting.
Strong communication, listening, and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Adult and pediatric practice experience.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Multilingual communication skills.
Familiarity with telemedicine platforms.
Basic understanding of medical billing and coding.

Responsibilities

Examine and treat patients across all age groups.
Take comprehensive medical histories.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays.
Diagnose conditions and prescribe medications.
Treat minor injuries, including suturing, splinting, and casting.
Record progress notes and manage follow-up care.
Educate and counsel patients on health and wellness.
Administer vaccinations and refer patients for specialized care.
Remotely supervise GoHealth PAs and NPs and act as a Collaborating Physician during credentialing.
Work scheduled 12-hour shifts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
