About The Position

Advanced Radiology Services (ARS) is seeking an Interventional Radiologist for a partnership track position in Kalamazoo. ARS is a large, physician-owned radiology practice serving over 60 sites in Michigan, including exclusive radiology services for Bronson Methodist Hospital. This role will join an established Interventional Radiology team of four other physicians and eight Advanced Practice Providers, performing over 30,000 procedures annually. The practice offers a blend of private practice benefits with academic opportunities, including teaching medical students and residents, and potential for research. The position is primarily interventional radiology (over 90%) with some general diagnostic radiology responsibilities. The practice covers a wide range of procedures and offers shared call responsibilities with physician support and time off after call. Requirements

  • Certified by the ABR or AOBR.
  • Completion of interventional radiology fellowship or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform greater than 90% interventional radiology procedures with some general diagnostic radiology responsibilities.
  • Cover a wide spectrum of inpatient and outpatient interventional procedures including interventional oncology, vertebral augmentation, TIPS, ablations, trauma embolization, GIB embolization, PAE, pulmonary thrombectomy, venous intervention, central venous access including implanted ports, peripheral vascular disease, biopsies, pain management procedures, and diagnosis/treatment of vascular malformations.
  • Share call responsibilities with four other physicians, averaging approximately 50 weekdays per year.
  • Participate in quarterly peer review meetings.
