About The Position

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Radiology physician. Ochsner Health is an integrated healthcare system with over 36,000 employees and over 4,600 employed and affiliated physicians in over 90 medical specialties and subspecialties. It operates 47 hospitals and more than 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Gulf South. This is a 100% Interventional Radiology practice in a collegial, patient-focused, and growing environment located in the Greater New Orleans region. The role offers a broad and diverse case mix with a large interventional oncology practice, including liver-directed therapies, GU interventions, and lung interventions. There are expanding clinical programs in venous disease, women’s health, and endocrine interventions, with strong opportunities for practice development and subspecialty growth. The position includes dedicated IR clinic infrastructure to support longitudinal patient care and build an outpatient practice. There is an opportunity to perform a wide range of interventional procedures in support of multiple service lines across the health system. Academic appointments are available through Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine. A night float call system is in place to support work-life balance, with call running from Friday evening through the following Thursday evening. Home call follows in-person call, with protected post-call mornings and the ability for daytime attendings to leave on time. Access to advanced imaging equipment, modern PACS and dictation systems, and IT support is provided. The role offers a supportive team environment with opportunities for both newly trained and experienced physicians, and excellent potential for leadership, program building, and career growth within a well-established and evolving IR section.

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Radiology.
  • Physician must be able to perform a wide range of interventional procedures.
  • Must be able to support longitudinal patient care and build outpatient practice.
  • Must be able to engage in practice development and subspecialty growth.
  • Must be able to participate in a large interventional oncology practice.
  • Must be able to work in a collegial, patient-focused, and growing environment.
  • Must be able to work within a night float call system.
  • Must be able to utilize advanced imaging equipment, modern PACS and dictation systems, and IT support.
  • Must be able to work within a supportive team environment.
  • Must be able to work within an evolving IR section.
  • Must be able to utilize EPIC medical record platform.
