About The Position

This position is for an Interventional (non-structural) Cardiologist at Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants in O'Fallon, IL, a nationally recognized leader in cardiovascular care. The role offers the opportunity for a dedicated physician to provide cutting-edge care to patients with complex cardiovascular heart conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of highly regarded cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons. The physician will practice advanced heart interventions within a well-established, community-based setting that values clinical autonomy. The practice is characterized by a high volume of interventional heart procedures, consistent procedural demand, and a well-established patient base. It offers comprehensive device experience with leading technologies, including Medtronic, Boston Scientific, and Abbott, and utilizes EPIC EMR. The collaborative cardiovascular team environment includes 3 electrophysiologists, 5 general cardiologists, 5 interventional cardiologists, and 2 structural interventional cardiologists. The practice has strong referral patterns and a growing demand for advanced interventional heart services, allowing the physician to exercise meaningful clinical autonomy and influence the ongoing development and direction of the interventional heart program. Requirements

  • Unrestricted Illinois medical license and DEA (prior to start).
  • BE/BC in Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interventional heart procedures.
  • Visa status: H1B supported; J1 ineligible.
  • Clinical doctorate is required.
  • Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required.
  • Licensed physician in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty.
  • Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.
  • Must be board certified or board eligible.
