Valley Baptist Physician Network is looking for an Interventional Cardiologist to join a thriving, well-established cardiovascular group at one of South Texas's premier health systems. Valley Baptist Medical Center–Harlingen is a 586-bed Level II Trauma Center and the region's recognized leader in cardiovascular services, offering four Cath Lab suites with Cardiac, EP, and Neuro capabilities. Research, teaching, and professional growth are all within reach through the hospital's clinical research department and a partnership with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Licensed in Texas or eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license
Responsibilities
- Monday–Friday clinic schedule; approximately 25 patients per day
- Perform 10–15 procedures per week initially
- Manage a low call burden: approximately 3 days/month, shared across a 10-provider cardiology panel
- Perform full spectrum of IC scope: diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, device implantation and management, structural heart disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and peripheral vascular disease
