About The Position

Sanford Health is hiring multiple hospitalists to provide medical care to patients in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and the surrounding area. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent foreign medical degree and complete a residency in Internal Medicine. They must be licensed or eligible for licensure in South Dakota and be board certified or board eligible. H-1B and J-1 visas are accepted. Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree; an equivalent foreign medical degree is also referenced.
• Successful completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. The job description also specifies completion of a medical residency program in Internal Medicine.
• Current medical license in each state of practice, or eligibility for licensure in South Dakota.
• State controlled substance license, if required by the state.
• Current DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, or an equivalent board; the posting also states board eligible (BC/BE).
