Physician - Hospitalist
About The Position
Ascension Saint Thomas is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible PRN Hospitalist in Nashville, TN. This role involves rounding on hospital patients, collaborating with other physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, filling in as needed with the Hospitalist team in Nashville, and performing admissions, discharges, and cross-covering each shift. Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital is a 541-licensed bed facility providing adult specialty healthcare to the residents of Middle Tennessee, Southwestern Kentucky, and Northern Alabama. It is recognized as a comprehensive stroke center and has the largest adult cardiac surgery and most comprehensive structural heart program in the region. Ascension Saint Thomas Health and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) have an established partnership for training medical residents. Nashville is known as the nation’s health care capital, a major hub for the music industry, and offers abundant parks, recreation, professional sports, shopping, and livable neighborhoods.
Requirements
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. KY License also required if working in a Kentucky facility.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
Responsibilities
