This is a full-time, employed position at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, AZ, focusing on daytime hospitalist duties. The role involves shift-based block scheduling, typically 7 on / 7 off with some flexibility for work-life balance. The team includes a rotation of one swing shift and one nocturnist, supported by two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during day shifts and one APP overnight. The average daily patient census is 18, with approximately 1-2 admissions per shift. The hospital operates a closed ICU model, with an Intensivist and IV Team providing procedure support. There is an optional opportunity to be involved in teaching internal medicine residents. Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board eligible or board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine
• Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Arizona

Responsibilities
