About The Position

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology and the WVU Cancer Institute seeks a Hematology Oncologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites. The WVU Cancer Institute is one of the country’s premier cancer treatment centers. We offer treatment to those in West Virginia as well as patients from five border states. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
  • Eligible for state medical license
  • Completed internal medicine residency program
  • Completed hematology/oncology fellowship program
  • Board certified / eligible in hematology and/or oncology at the time of appointment

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the areas of hematology/oncology
  • Provide excellent patient care
  • Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
