About The Position
This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients with hematological and oncological conditions. The physician will manage a daily caseload, participate in inpatient rounding, and share call coverage. There are opportunities for teaching residents and medical students, as well as engagement in clinical trials and mentorship programs. The patient population includes a diverse range of solid organ tumors, breast cancer, gynecological malignancies, and hematological conditions.
Requirements
- MD or DO with board eligibility/certification in Hematology/Oncology.
- Current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications specific to the practice area.
- Valid DEA registration.
- Clean malpractice and background history.
- A Self-Query from the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) submitted, obtained within the last month at the time of presentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of 12-15 patients per day.
- Provide primarily outpatient care with the capability to admit patients to the Hospitalist service.
- Participate in rounding as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
- Equitably participate in second call for physicians.
- Teach residents and medical students.
- Engage in ongoing clinical trials.
- Participate in established mentorship programs for professional development.
