About The Position
Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified General Neurologist to join their growing neurosciences program at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL. This is an employed, full-time position within the Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group, utilizing the EPIC electronic health record system. The program offers nearly 30 neurosciences subspecialties, including strong programs in cerebrovascular disease and stroke, movement disorders, brain tumors, Alzheimer's, epilepsy, spine surgery, cochlear implants, and sleep disorders. The role involves acute stroke care with advanced treatment options and access to clinical trials, as well as conventional and complex neurosurgery of the brain, brain stem, and spine. The DeKalb community is described as a warm and vibrant city with suburban sophistication, offering four seasons of recreation, arts, and entertainment, located 60 miles west of Chicago. It is also close to Northern Illinois University and Kishwaukee Community College, and less than 30 minutes from neighboring communities like St. Charles, Geneva, and Batavia.
Requirements
- Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in General Neurology.
- Hospital privileges at Kishwaukee Hospital.
Responsibilities
