About The Position

West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurosurgery seek a functional neurosurgeon to practice in Morgantown, WV. West Virginia’s premier neuroscience center, the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI), is anchored by its flagship location on the WVU Health Sciences campus in Morgantown, WV, and serves patients across multiple sites throughout the region. More than 330 physicians and scientists, backed by 2,500 dedicated personnel, provide advanced neurological care, mental health treatment, and education to over 350,000 patients annually. With the latest technologies, an ecosystem of partners, and an integrated approach, we are making tangible progress in the advancement of brain health. Our breakthroughs in neuroscience are strengthening our efforts to combat public health challenges ranging from addiction to Alzheimer’s. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed neurosurgery residency program.
  • Board certified/eligible in neurosurgery.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the areas of neurosurgery/functional neurosurgery.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Research is a large component of this position.
