About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a Family Medicine physician to work in Deer River, Minnesota. The physician serves as a leader of a Care Team, using Essentia Care Processes and collaborating with other healthcare team members to meet patient-care objectives and provide continuity of care for patients and families. The Deer River team works closely with the existing Grand Rapids team, approximately 20 minutes away. This is a physician-led practice with clinic work in Deer River. The position is flexible at 0.6–1.0 FTE and does not include obstetrics. Additional clinical opportunities include colposcopies, endoscopies, stress tests, and EGDs. The clinic uses the EPIC electronic medical record.

Compensation is listed as $345,449. Hired candidates may be eligible for additional compensation through bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.

Deer River is approximately 20 minutes from Grand Rapids, about 80 miles northwest of Duluth, and 175 miles north of Minneapolis–St. Paul. The county has over 1,000 lakes.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
