PHYSICIAN - Family Medicine & Hospitalist (0.6 - 1.0 FTE) - Grand Rapids, MN
About The Position
Essentia Health is building a team of 4 MDs and 4 Nurse Practitioners to staff a new, 24 exam room, state-of-the-art facility in Grand Rapids, MN. The Grand Rapids team will work in close collaboration with the existing Deer River team, located 20 minutes away. This is a physician-led practice with flexible scheduling options from 0.6 to 1.0 FTE. The role involves clinic work in Grand Rapids and hospitalist work at Essentia Health, Deer River Hospital, a modern 20-bed Critical Access Hospital with 24/7 ER physician coverage and Nurse Triage. Additional opportunities include colposcopies, endoscopies, stress tests, and EGDs. The practice utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine
- Valid MN Physician License or ability to obtain
- DEA certification
Responsibilities
- Provide Family Medicine and Hospitalist care (no OB).
- Work in clinic in Grand Rapids.
- Perform hospitalist duties at Essentia Health, Deer River Hospital.
- Participate in call rotation, approximately 1 week every 6 weeks, serving as backup after ER docs.
- Conduct 3-4 day hospitalist stretches every 6 weeks in Deer River.
- Perform additional procedures such as colposcopies, endoscopies, stress tests, and EGDs.
