About The Position

OSF HealthCare is hiring a Hospitalist Physician for a 0.5 FTE position. The role involves 12-hour shifts. Standard hospitalist rates are $156.45 per hour for day shifts and $197.62 per hour for night shifts.

The physician must be licensed to practice medicine in the current state, be board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty, and obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges. The physician must also be eligible to participate as a provider in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs, and meet OSF's qualifications for professional malpractice and other liability coverage. A Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois license to prescribe narcotics is required if applicable.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the current state.
• Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty or specialties.
• Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
• Eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
• Meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
• Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
