About The Position
Vituity is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for Watsonville Community Hospital in Watsonville, California. The position is part of Vituity’s physician-owned partnership, which offers physician partners autonomy and local control, financial transparency, profit distribution, equity ownership, K-1 tax advantages, and career development opportunities. The hospital is a 106-bed facility with 12 emergency department rooms and an annual ED volume of 35,000, with an 8.2% admission rate. The established Vituity site has scribe support, Anesthesiology, and Inpatient Psychiatry providers. The hospital is a Kaiser affiliate and district hospital serving an underserved, multicultural community. The estimated annual base compensation is $275,000–$900,000, depending on site, specialty, clinical volume, schedule, and experience. Total compensation may vary by site and may significantly exceed the stated range through partnership income. Compensation for part-time and per-diem roles is prorated based on clinical hours worked. Watsonville is in the Pajaro Valley and is known for its agricultural roots and natural beauty. Local amenities include Pinto Lake Park, Elkhorn Slough, nearby beaches, and community festivals. The city offers access to Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz, and the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
- Internal Medicine and Family Medicine physicians with Emergency Department experience will be considered.
