About The Position
We are seeking a physician to cover a few weekends a year for the Emergency Medicine department at Essentia Health – Ada, a Level IV Trauma Center with 14 beds. This is a casual position with 63.5-hour shifts, running from Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 8:00 AM. The average patient volume is 8-15 patients per weekend. Family Medicine physicians cover the Emergency Medicine department. The department is collegial and team-oriented. Clinical documentation is facilitated by EPIC DAX ambient voice.
Requirements
- BC/BE Emergency Medicine or BC/BE Family Medicine with experience (or additional training in EM).
- ACLS, ATLS/CALS, PALS Certification.
Responsibilities
- Covering Emergency Medicine shifts on weekends a few times a year.
- Managing an average of 8-15 patients per weekend.
- Utilizing EPIC DAX ambient voice for clinical documentation.
