About The Position

Sanford Health has an immediate opening for a BC/BE Radiologist to practice in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Services include general radiology, mammography, CT, ultrasound, MRI, and basic interventional procedures. The role also offers support to expand the current practice in pain management. The weekend call schedule involves Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8 am to 6 pm, managed through the Sanford Fargo (ND) group, with the radiologist participating in a call pool of approximately 1 weekend every 7 or 8. The Fargo group also provides support for vacation coverage. The position is based at a brand new, $60 million, 25-bed critical access hospital offering over 30 specialty services.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Completion of a hospital-affiliated Radiology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • If not board certified at the time of application, must have completed residency training within the last five years and achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training unless waived by the governing Board.
  • Demonstrate active involvement of at least 200 Radiology examinations in the last 24 months (either through residency completion, a quality profile from current privileges, or documentation of clinical activity).

Nice To Haves

  • Training at a residency program accredited by organizations other than ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada may be considered by the Credentials Committee, Physician Executive or Medical Affairs Committee, and the Board of Directors or Board of Governors.
  • Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
