About The Position

Franciscan Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist specializing in non-invasive cardiology with expertise in cardiac CT, MRI, and vascular imaging. This role is based at the Franciscan Health Heart Center Michigan City, with clinic responsibilities extending to LaPorte, Chesterton, and Valparaiso. The cardiology group is well-established, comprising four physicians, six advanced practice providers, and multiple RNs and MAs. The ideal candidate will prioritize clinical excellence and patient satisfaction, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be eager to build community ties and collaborate effectively with existing medical staff and the cardiology service line to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist.
• Specialization in cardio non-invasive.
• Passion for cardiac CT, MRI, and vascular imaging.
• Strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members.
• Doctorate Required.
• Physician License (DR) - Upon Hire Required.
• Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required.
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Upon Hire Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
• Develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and staff within the Cardiology service line.
• Coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.
• Conduct 36 patient contact hours and 4 hours of administrative time weekly.
• Participate in a 1:4 call rotation for evenings and weekends.
• Manage average outpatient volumes of 16-20 patients per day.
• Manage average rounding volumes of 10-15 patients per day.
• Utilize Telehealth services.
• Build a large, busy practice quickly.
