About The Position

This clinic-based Medical Director role combines direct patient care with clinical leadership and center business management. Most of the position is spent treating patients; the remaining time focuses on quality improvement and supporting the center’s business in partnership with the Center Leadership Team. The physician leads by example to provide an exceptional patient experience and helps ensure the day-to-day execution of Concentra’s medical model, collaborating with therapists and specialists to achieve optimal clinical outcomes and case closure. The Medical Director manages clinicians and support staff, helps maintain appropriate staffing levels, supports continuous clinic improvement, and builds relationships with center clients and payers. The role also contributes to clinic budgeting and business metrics while promoting a collaborative, professional, safe, and quality-focused environment. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time. The position offers a stated base compensation range of $287,000 to $310,000 annually, plus a Director Stipend and potential monthly and quarterly bonus incentives. Many clinics operate Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no nights, weekends, holidays, or call; schedules may vary by clinic. Concentra provides occupational medicine training, CME and leadership development opportunities, and possible opportunities to teach residents and students.

Requirements

Active and unrestricted medical license.
Unrestricted DEA license and dispensing license for the state of jurisdiction, required before the start date.
Must be eligible to participate in Medicare.

Nice To Haves

Board certification or eligibility in an ABMS- or AOA-recognized specialty.
FMCSA NRCME certification, or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and lead by example to create an exceptional patient experience.
Provide healthcare management leadership to support day-to-day execution of the medical model, collaborating with therapists and specialists to drive clinical outcomes and case closure.
Manage clinicians and support staff and comply with APC supervisory requirements.
Create a professional and collaborative working environment.
Work with leaders to identify and implement changes for continuous medical clinic improvement.
Maintain relationships with center clients and payers.
Work with the medical clinic leadership team to manage clinical and support staffing levels.
Promote and exemplify Concentra values among clinic colleagues.

Maintain financial awareness and provide input on the clinic budget and key business metrics.
