About The Position

Beatrice Women's and Children's Clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Medical Assistant. The LPN will coordinate clinic activities and provide patient care, manage supplies and equipment, and promote collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. The Medical Assistant will room patients, obtain and document vital signs, assist nursing personnel, answer phones, and perform clerical duties. This role operates on a 36-hour work week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma.
Currently licensed as a practical nurse in the State of Nebraska.
Current CPR/BLS.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of Medical Assisting program.
Currently licensed as a Medication Aide – 40 Hour in the State of Nebraska required.
Current CPR/BLS.

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Previous experience in physician clinic and experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates clinic activities for assigned clinic and provides patient care.
Meets approved Standards of Practice.
Manages supplies and equipment in the clinic.
Promotes collaboration with physician and other health care providers.
Rooms patients, obtains and documents vital signs, and completes rooming process for patients of all ages.
Assists nursing personnel with care of patient as directed by director/leader and/or provider within the scope of a Medical Assistant.
Answers internal and external telephone calls for clinic.
Performs other clerical duties as directed.
