Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN - Pediatrics Clinic
About The Position
Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions. Our experienced team of pediatricians provides comprehensive pediatric primary care for children, from birth through their high school years. Together, our dedicated team of pediatric experts offers a broad range of services that support children through their developmental milestones. Services include preventive care such as vaccinations and well-child visits, school physicals, acute care for when a child is feeling ill, and guidance for nutrition and behavior development. Our pediatric physicians offer personalized care that fits children’s needs and supports every family. As a Medical Assistant or LPN, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day. As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will: Welcome patients and support their transition into care. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings. Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures. Administer medications and vaccines as directed. Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing. Document care accurately in the electronic health record. Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify OR licensed LPN.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy skills are preferred.
