About The Position

Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), is seeking to employ a General Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join the Christine E. Lynn Heart & Vascular Institute. The new physician will be part of a well-established program at Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care, which includes fellowship-trained experts in all heart and vascular specialties and offers minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures. The role is a full-time opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of adult Cardiothoracic Surgery, including TAVRs, CABGs, Mitral Valve Repair and Replacements, Coronary Artery Bypass, and Aortic Aneurysm Repairs. Robotic experience is preferred but not required. BHSF is academically affiliated with Florida International University (FIU) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and is involved in multidisciplinary research, including over 60 clinical trials. Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care provides services across all BHSF hospitals and multiple specialty centers, including the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Christine E. Lynn Heart & Vascular Institute. The organization is looking for candidates who prioritize quality, excellent patient-centered care, possess a professional demeanor, and promote collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. Compensation will be commensurate with training and experience. Florida has no state income tax.

Requirements

  • MD/DO from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date).
  • Satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing.
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Nice To Haves

  • Robotic experience is preferred.
  • Additional fellowship training or subspecialty interest or experience is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities
