About The Position

Nicklaus Children’s Health System and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS) are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible (BC/BE) fellowship-trained neonatologist with a minimum of three years of experience for an established Level II NICU in Palm Beach County, Florida. This is a staff relief/pool opportunity. The program is a comprehensive perinatal and neonatal program for babies in a Level II NICU. Applicants should have a passion for advocacy and improving care for all children. The neonatologists will be responsible for attending deliveries, providing prenatal consultations, resuscitating and stabilizing newborns, and rounding on well babies, providing leadership, oversight, and supervision in the Level II nursery. The position requires providing 15 days per month and living within 30 miles of the hospital. Candidates must be proficient in newborn resuscitation, including neonatal intubation, umbilical line placement, peripheral cannulation, and lumbar punctures. The Nicklaus Children's neonatology program is recognized nationally, and the neonatologists will have access to the educational and professional development resources of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible (BC/BE) fellowship-trained neonatologist
• Minimum of three years of experience (preferred)
• Proficient in newborn resuscitation, including neonatal intubation
• Proficient in umbilical line placement and peripheral cannulation
• Proficient in lumbar punctures
• Live within 30 miles of hospital
