Neonatologist, Per Diem
About The Position
Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Neonatologist, per diem, to join their team at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida, in Orlando. The Division consists of a collaborative group of neonatologists and advanced practitioners in an all-referral, single-patient room NICU at NCH. They offer a full range of services, including HFOV, HFJV, iNO, and whole-body cooling. The position provides access to a comprehensive range of pediatric subspecialists, specialists in maternal fetal medicine and interventional radiology, and a full surgical program, including neonatal interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery. ECMO services are provided in liaison with CICU. The role also includes providing neonatal palliative care services and participating in the NICU developmental follow-up clinic on site. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is Epic. Support staff include a unit-based pharmacist, dietician, respiratory therapist, OT, PT, SLT, and music therapist. The Division also staffs Level III and II NICUs at leading hospitals serving the communities where families live and work. Air and ground pediatric critical transport teams complement the service. The team is a member of the Children’s Hospital Neonatal Consortium, Vermont Oxford Network, and active participants in the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative. The NICU is equipped with PEA POD body composition device, Infant manometry system, pH-impedance analysis, POCUS, and telemedicine for clinical and research purposes.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Board certified or board eligible in area of specialty
- Valid state medical license
