About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in East Ellijay, GA. The PA will provide patient-focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and is open to new graduates. The company offers extensive support, including HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a pediatric urgent care course, and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making. This position allows PAs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The PA will act as the primary medical provider in the clinic, with treatment protocols available for guidance, and will also serve as a leader and professional role model for medical assistants. The role supports rural communities by providing accessible care 362 days a year and may qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suturing.
  • Splinting.
  • General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • General Dermatology.
  • General eye problems.
  • General EKG interpretations.
  • Emergency management skills.
  • General GYN expertise.
  • Treating children of all ages.
  • Occupational medicine.
  • Telemedicine.
