About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Gastonia, NC. The PA will provide patient-focused care in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine settings. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company offers comprehensive support, including HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making support. PAs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages (babies, children, adults, and geriatric patients). The role emphasizes leadership, with PAs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic and guiding medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing access to care and may qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Provide General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine.
