About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Hinesville, GA. The PA will provide patient-focused care, aiming to help patients feel better quickly. The services offered include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This opportunity is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company provides comprehensive onboarding, training shifts with experienced providers, and ongoing support, including a provider on-call for clinical decision-making assistance. PAs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatric individuals, which helps maintain sharp skills and marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with the PA acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants. A rewarding aspect of the role is mentoring medical assistants. MainStreet clinics serve rural communities with limited access to care, operating 362 days a year. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Conduct General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology issues.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Demonstrate General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine consultations.
