About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Cherryville, NC. The PA will provide patient-focused care, aiming to help patients feel better quickly. The services offered include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be capable of leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This role is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company provides comprehensive support, including an on-site HQ orientation and training, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making support. The position allows PAs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps maintain and enhance clinical skills. The PA will act as the primary medical provider in the clinic, leading their team of medical assistants and serving as a professional role model. The role also involves supporting rural communities that have limited access to care, with clinics open 362 days a year. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. Requirements

Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
MSN, or higher education required.
DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
Suturing.
Splinting.
General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
General Dermatology.
General eye problems.
General EKG interpretations.
Emergency management skills.
General GYN expertise.
Treating children of all ages.
Occupational medicine.
Telemedicine.
