About The Position

Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a Physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions, and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. This role presents a unique opportunity for those interested in combining clinical practice with academic leadership. The University of Saskatchewan’s College of Medicine is currently recruiting for an academic position to complement this role. Requirements

  • Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset
  • Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a PA; or
  • Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or
  • Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.
  • Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).
