About The Position

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
  • Current and valid State of Michigan Registered Nurse Licensure and ARNP Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
  • Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or graduate of an accredited PA program.

Responsibilities

  • Provides outstanding patient experience in healthcare and health management for patients of all ages.
  • Assesses the patient’s and family’s psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and environmental needs and priorities.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities, including the development of standards of care and protocols.
  • Collaborates with physicians, nurses, medical or other staff for comprehensive interdisciplinary management of care or referral. Such collaboration includes initiating health care team conferences.
  • Assumes leadership and patient advocacy roles for coordinating and communicating patient problems and needs to appropriate health care team members.
  • Provides the highest quality health care through the utilization or conduction of research in Physician Assistant practice, standard setting, evaluation of care and outcomes, and continuing professional education.
