About The Position

Requirements

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
Current and valid State of Michigan Registered Nurse Licensure and ARNP Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or graduate of an accredited PA program.

Responsibilities

Provides outstanding patient experience in healthcare and health management for patients of all ages.
Assesses the patient’s and family’s psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and environmental needs and priorities.
Participates in quality improvement activities, including the development of standards of care and protocols.
Collaborates with physicians, nurses, medical or other staff for comprehensive interdisciplinary management of care or referral. Such collaboration includes initiating health care team conferences.
Assumes leadership and patient advocacy roles for coordinating and communicating patient problems and needs to appropriate health care team members.
Provides the highest quality health care through the utilization or conduction of research in Physician Assistant practice, standard setting, evaluation of care and outcomes, and continuing professional education.
