About The Position

Onsite Innovations is now hiring an experienced and passionate Advanced Practitioner for a PRN position (as-needed) at our on-site healthcare clinic located at our client's site in Bronx, NY. The Onsite Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner works with the Onsite Leadership Team at the assigned onsite clinic, and under the direction of the Supervising physician, to implement the location’s medical policies, procedures, and programs ensuring the delivery of efficient, responsible and accountable healthcare of the highest quality to patients, businesses, and industry in accordance with Concentra's Best in Class practice. Spanish Speaker preferred, but not required. Will require DOT certification prior to start (employer will assist).

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in related health field from an accredited college or university
  • Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program) / Masters of Science in Nurse Practitioner Studies (graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program)
  • Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE), or NP equivalent
  • Current licensed physician assistant / nurse practitioner in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice
  • Must maintain work state licensure throughout the course of employment
  • Continuing education is required to maintain license and to perform job
  • Customarily has at least two to three years of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care or an emergency setting

  • Demonstrated knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of clinical operations
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations that govern delivery of rehabilitation services
  • Knowledge of worker’s compensation and clinical procedures and all processes involved in the delivery of quality care.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated willingness to participate in Continuing Medical Education

Responsibilities

  • Spends 100% of time in the onsite clinic providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
  • Ensures day-to-day execution of Concentra's clinical model collaborating with members of the healthcare team to drive optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Accountable for monitoring, understanding, and effecting key onsite clinic metrics that relate to quality outcomes.
  • Provides direct patient care through compilation of the medical history, conduction of the physical exam, diagnosis, and the development of appropriate treatment plans.
  • Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
  • Maintains timely, accurate and detailed patient records and paperwork.
  • Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
  • Listens to and understands internal and external client needs.
  • Assists in the development, implementation and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of clinical care.
  • Assists in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs.
  • Provides excellent and compassionate customer service to all patients, clients and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.
