Practice Details:
Join a growing Urogynecology practice. Team of 7 clinicians
Our APP's support two physicians
Major procedures will be performed at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and minor procedures at West Health ASC
Robust nursing support for clinic
APP's support Urodynamics
Collaborates with multiple specialties within Allina Health system (Colorectal, OB/GYN, PFPT, Urology, etc.)
Excellian, our EMR, is a software product from Epic and is considered one of the most comprehensive systems in the nation
Abbott Northwestern Hospital with ability to cover multiple sites including, but not limited to United Hospital, Bandana Square Clinic & Lakeville Specialty Clinic
Setting: Clinic and OR setting
Schedule: Full-time schedule with OR time and occasional call

Requirements

• Master's degree completion of accredited Physician Assistant program
• Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission
• Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association OR Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross OR Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 1 year PA experience preferred
• Surgical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments and determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
• Multidisciplinary team approach to treat complex conditions.
• Provides surgical assistance in OR for vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgeries
• Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
• System-wide referral source spanning the twin cities and outlying areas.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, chronic condition management, and preventive wellness
• Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
