About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant supports patient care in Ascension’s OBGYN Urogynecology facility in Nashville, Tennessee. The role prepares treatment environments, conducts initial screenings, and helps patients feel welcomed and ready for care. It documents vital signs and patient care journeys, transcribes and processes orders for laboratory tests and imaging, supports front-of-house communications, and maintains medical supplies. The position is full-time and scheduled for days. Candidates must be willing to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Obtain Certified Medical Assistant certification within 120 days of hire or job transfer. Approved credentialing bodies include American Medical Technologists, National Healthcareer Association, National Center for Competency Testing, National Association for Health Professionals, and American Association of Medical Assistants.
• High school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience. Required professional licensure or certification may be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
