About The Position

Concentra is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team at an on-site client location. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience as a PA/NP within an urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational medicine, and/or family medicine environment. In this role, you will be the only medical personnel and will be responsible for triaging work-related injuries, performing physicals and basic first aid, administering vaccinations, and maintaining employee health while working with the client to promote safety and wellness. The work environment may be outdoors at times and will require a specific dress code. Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in related health field from an accredited college or university
  • Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program)
  • Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)
  • Current licensed physician assistant in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice
  • Must maintain work state physician assistant licensure throughout the course of employment
  • Continuing education is required to maintain license and to perform job
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care or an emergency setting

  • Knowledge of worker’s compensation and clinical procedures and all processes involved in the delivery of quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Spends 100% of time in the onsite clinic providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
  • Ensures day-to-day execution of Concentra's clinical model collaborating with members of the healthcare team to drive optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Accountable for monitoring, understanding, and effecting key onsite clinic metrics that relate to quality outcomes.
  • Advanced Primary Care - chronic condition management, gaps in care, preventive health and age-appropriate screenings, vaccinations, SDOH, wellness initiatives, clinic utilization and patient satisfaction.
  • Occupational Medicine - timely return to work measures after an injury on the job, case duration, lost time, work duty status, reduction in work-related illnesses and improved functional capacity.
  • Provides direct patient care through compilation of the medical history, conduction of the physical exam, diagnosis, and the development of appropriate treatment plans.
  • Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
  • Maintains timely, accurate and detailed patient records and paperwork.
  • Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
  • Listens to and understands internal and external client needs.
  • Assists in the development, implementation and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of clinical care.
  • Assists in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs.
  • Provides excellent and compassionate customer service to all patients, clients and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.
