Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the United States.
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
• The required clinical skills enable the Physician Assistant to perform comprehensive patient evaluations, make informed diagnostic decisions, and develop effective treatment plans daily.
• Strong communication skills are essential for educating patients, collaborating with physicians, and documenting care accurately.
• Proficiency with electronic health records facilitates efficient management of patient information and supports coordinated care delivery.

• Experience in a specialized medical field such as emergency medicine, surgery, or primary care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations to assess health status.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
• Assist in surgical procedures and perform minor medical interventions as appropriate.
• Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
