Physician Assistant - ICU - Nights - Lower Manhattan Campus (Open to new grad & experienced PA's)
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is hiring a Physician Assistant for its 19-bed ICU at the Lower Manhattan Campus. The role offers experience with a variety of cases, including adult inpatients needing pre- and post-operative care, general acute care, and specialty services. Patient populations include neurosurgery, obstetrics, ICU, and MICU. The position is open to new graduates and experienced PAs. The schedule consists of three 12.5-hour rotating night shifts per week, with weekend rotation and holiday coverage. The role requires on-site presence, and employees must live within a commutable distance of NYP. The hospital does not reimburse travel expenses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
- Current New York State licensure.
Nice To Haves
- ICU experience.
- Internal medicine or surgery inpatient experience.
- For new graduates, an ICU rotation.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based medical care in the ICU.
- Care for adult inpatients requiring pre- and post-operative care, as well as patients receiving general acute and specialty services.
- Participate in weekend rotations and holiday coverage.
