About The Position

The IMA Group is hiring a Physician Assistant to conduct independent medical evaluations for Veterans pursuing disability benefits related to service-connected conditions. This is an assessment-only role focused on clinical examinations, record review, and documentation, with no ongoing patient management, treatment plans, or after-hours pages. The schedule is flexible at 1–2 days per week and is designed to fit around existing commitments. The role has no on-call rotation, nights, or weekends, and no patient panel or continuity-of-care burden. Work is centered on evaluation and clinical documentation.

The IMA Group’s Government Services Division supports local, state, and federal agencies by delivering professional and objective medical and psychological examinations and ancillary services. Its Payer Services Division provides evaluation and screening services to carriers, third-party administrators, public entities, and employers, including behavioral health and physical medicine specialty services. Its Clinical Research Division conducts Phase II–IV clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas through a nationwide network of sites and virtual capabilities.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in Florida.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA certification in good standing.
• Solid clinical background with strong diagnostic reasoning.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Occupational Health, Orthopedics, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed physical examinations and gather medical histories.
• Analyze medical records, imaging, and diagnostic results.
• Apply VA disability evaluation standards to findings.
• Draft objective, well-supported reports linking conditions to military service.
• Submit documentation through the digital case platform.
