About The Position
Responsible for treating and providing health care services to patients under direction and responsibility of a physician. Educates patients on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders or diseases. Assists patients in the management of chronic diseases and illnesses and promotes health and wellness.
Requirements
- Fellowship-trained, board-certified surgeons, anesthesiology specialists, nurses, care managers and other health care professionals who provide the most progressive surgical methods using the latest technology.
- Minimally invasive surgery programs that result in shorter hospital stays and faster recoveries.
- State-of-the-art bio skills simulation laboratory that is accredited by the American College of Surgeons for additional staff training.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and gathers patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
- Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results.
- Performs treatment procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
- Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
