About The Position
The Dietetic Assistant role at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is a Per Diem position focused on supporting patient meal planning and selection. This role involves coordinating with healthcare professionals and nutritionists, taking patient meal orders, assisting with meal choices while respecting cultural and religious preferences, and managing patient meal tickets and diet orders. The Dietetic Assistant also performs other related duties as assigned. Responsibilities
- Coordinates patient's meal plans with healthcare professionals and nutritionists.
- Takes patient meal orders via phone and at the bedside.
- Assists with meal selections while taking into consideration cultural and/or religious preferences.
- Monitors patient meal tickets- this includes reviewing and modifying as needed to comply with prescribed diet order.
- Processes new diets, changes, tube feedings and NPO orders efficiently while keeping accurate records.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
