About The Position

Could you be our next Physician Assistant in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Lankenau Medical Center? Make an Impact! Mending broken hearts is at the core of being a Physician Assistant PA-C in Cardiothoracic Surgery. As a Physician Assistant, you will work under the responsibility and supervision of the surgeon, performing diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to allow the physician to extend their services through the more effective use of knowledge in to establish diagnosis and to plan and implement therapy. You will have a major role being a patient's advocate in the medical system serving as a confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients and physicians. Requirements

  • Two (2) years recent experience in cardiothoracic surgery required.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program.
  • Must complete courses of training for both basic and advanced cardiac life support.
  • Must be certified by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) and Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.
  • This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Endoscopic Vein Harvesting highly preferred.
  • Recent Board eligible graduate NOT eligible at this time.

Responsibilities
