About The Position

UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join its team in the greater Pittsburgh area and locations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The role provides urgent care services in partnership with UPMC Health System, with a broad range of clinical concerns and opportunities for shared decision-making and problem-solving. Clinicians see patients at regular intervals using scheduling programs designed to support wellness, efficiency, and safe care. Centers use an integrated EPIC EMR, point-of-care testing, and on-site X-ray. Each clinician has a primary home center and nearby secondary centers, and works as a clinical team leader in collaboration with an on-site radiologic technologist and Medical Assistants. The position includes weekend shifts and limited on-call availability, with scheduling flexibility for vacations and wellness days Monday through Friday.

Requirements

At least 1 year of full-time Emergency Medicine experience, or 2 years of Urgent Care experience; 2 years of Family Medicine experience will also be considered.
Comfort with minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints.
Ability to provide preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
Experience treating patients from newborn age and up in an acute care setting.
Physician Assistants must have a master’s degree and NCCPA certification.
Nurse Practitioners must have a master’s degree and ANCC or AANP certification.

Responsibilities

Provide urgent care to patients from newborn age and up in an acute care setting.
Perform minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints.
Provide preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.
Collaborate with an on-site Rad Tech and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader.
Share experience and training with other clinicians and staff.
Work weekend shifts and provide limited on-call availability.
