About The Position

We are looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, preferably with a background in GI, hepatology/transplant or internal medicine, to join our established hepatology practice in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will find a supportive leadership team and excellent colleagues in a team-oriented environment. This is mainly outpatient care, Monday-Fridays 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. However, there may be occasional inpatient coverage on Monday-Fridays several times a year. The role includes 4.5 clinic days per week and 0.5 administrative time, with a patient volume of 12-14. The practice environment is at the Morehead Medical Plaza office location, with a team that includes 5 MDs and 3 APPs.

Requirements

  • Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • North Carolina licensure (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum of 2 years of APP experience required
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master’s Degree.
  • Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.
  • APP who demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
  • APP who can prioritize and make proactive decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in GI, hepatology/transplant or internal medicine
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.

Responsibilities
